TICKETS AVAILABLE:
● A total of 570,000 tickets are available in the following bundles:
⦾ 10,000 individual tickets at $10 each
⦾ 8,000 sets of 5 tickets for $25
⦾ 6,000 sets of 20 tickets for $50
⦾ 4,000 sets of 100 tickets for $100
● Each ticket pack (5-Pack, 20-Pack, 100-Pack) must contain the same purchaser information.
TAX INFORMATION:
The price of tickets is not deductible as a charitable donation for tax purposes in Canada.
IMPORTANT DATES:
● Ticket Sales Period: July 4, 2025, to September 5, 2025
● Final Draw Date: September 12, 2025, at 10:15 AM at the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, 2312 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 1T3.
● Prize Claim Deadline: Prize must be accepted as awarded and must be claimed within 12 months of the draw date.
PRIZE DETAILS:
50/50 Lottery Prize: One cash prize equal to 50% of all ticket sales, up to a maximum of $1,000,000 (maximum cash prize of $500,000).
Prizes are awarded tax-free in Canada and must be accepted as awarded; no substitutions are permitted.
The 50/50 Lottery is a 50/50 style draw where the money received in ticket sales is divided evenly between the winner and the charity.
ELIGIBILITY:
● Age Restriction: Ticket purchasers must be 19 years of age or older.
● Geographic Restriction: Tickets may only be sold and purchased within British Columbia. Purchasers must be physically located in BC at the time of purchase. Non-residents of BC may purchase tickets only if the transaction occurs while they are physically within BC.
⦾ Tickets or receipts will not be distributed to, mailed or sent to a non-resident’s third-party address in BC.

● Ineligible Participants: Board members, executives, and staff of the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation; development staff, executives, and board members of YMCA of Southern Interior BC, are prohibited from purchasing tickets in this lottery.
TICKET SALES AND VERIFICATION:
● Online Ticket Sales: Purchases made online are facilitated through the approved Raffle Nexus Canada platform, which verifies that purchasers are of legal age (19+) and located in British Columbia during the transaction.
● Purchaser Verification: The Heart of BC 50/50 Lottery uses secure technology to verify that purchasers meet all requirements under BC law, including age and geographic restrictions.
OTHER CONDITIONS:
● In Accordance with Gaming: All prize draws will be conducted in accordance with Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch – Licensed Charitable Gaming Rules.
● All Sales Final: Once a ticket number is assigned, the sale is final and non-refundable.
● Refusal of Entries: The Licensee reserves discretionary right not to accept entries
● Notification of Winners: The winner will be contacted by email, phone, or mail regarding their prize and how to claim it. The winner will have 12 months from the draw date to claim their prize.
● Proof of Ownership: The Purchaser is responsible for proof-of-ownership of shared tickets. Allow 3-4 weeks for delivery of your official ticket.
● Minor’s Name: If a winning ticket bears a minor’s name, the prize will be lawfully delivered on behalf of the minor to the minor’s parent, legal guardian, or trustee.
● Public Disclosure: Winners consent to the release of their names, city of residence, and photo for promotional purposes. This information may be published on the KGH Foundation website and social media channels.
● Privacy Policy: Personal information collected during ticket sales will be used exclusively by the KGH Foundation and its partners to process orders, notify winners, and inform participants about future events, lotteries, and fundraising activities. Personal information will not be sold, rented, or traded.
DISCLAIMERS:
● Liability Limitations: The liability of the Heart of BC 50/50 Lottery and the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation is limited to the ticket price paid.
